Ticket sales- at the Town of Columbus information booth. 

 

10:00 a.m.   Grand Opening followed by Tai Chi

           

10:30 a.m.  *Frisbee toss: Can you aim a Frisbee, make it come close to a target, win the prize for making it the closest to the target. ($.50 per 2 tosses)

*Blow me a bubble area – (ages 5 and below) Get your own bottle of bubbles to blow and enjoy others your age in a safe area ($.25 per bottle)

*Checkers  Championship - Remember the good old days.  Sit around, challenge your friends.  Play a game until you lose. We will find the best player in the Columbus area.

*Egg on spoon races – (all ages) Kids of all ages will enjoy this game. Can you run with an egg at stake?  Balance an egg on the spoon, and move as fast as possible.  ($.50 per try)

 

11:00 a.m.  *Hoop to the music – (all ages) No matter your age it is worth the try!  Let your friends and family see how talented you are.  ($.50 per 10 minutes)

*Jump rope championship – (all ages) How many jumps before you stop? Ropes of all lengths, so no excuse not to try- winner takes the prize.  ($.50 per 2 tries)

*Blow me a bubble area – (5 and below)  Get your own bottle of bubbles to blow and enjoy others your age in a safe area ($.25 per bottle)

*Checkers championship - sit on the newly laid brick of the Courthouse and play a good old game of checkers.  Can you out wit the person across from you? ($.50 per challenge until you are out)

 

11:30 a.m.  *Hoop to the music - (all ages) Grab a hula hoop to see how long you can hoop to the music playing in the park.  It does take skill. Let your children see that you still have it. ($.50 per person)

*Rock/ Paper/ Scissors Championship – (all ages) It may take skill or just luck.  Can you out guess your challengers? Will you last throughout the time, or sit down in 2 minutes? ($.50 until you are out) 

*Sack Races – (all ages) Hop to the finish line in one group then move up to the next round.  The last one standing is the winner. One game at 11:30 and the next at 11:45.  ($.50 until you are out)

*3 legged races – (all ages) Pair up with your brother, your sister, your mom, dad, or your best friend. A fun game for all. ($.50 per pair with one final pair winning.)

During the day:  The Farmer’s market will sell slices of watermelon and hold several seed-spitting contests.  Winners to be announced at posted times.
